This blog hop is like a game of tag. One author posts and
tags five other authors who link back to their website the next week and tag
five new authors. If you follow the blog hop long enough, you’re bound to find
some books you’ll love! Maybe you’ll even discover a book that ends up being the
next big thing.
I was tagged by two authors: A.L. Sowards and Karey White.
You can learn more about
Sowards and her book Espionage from her website (http://alsowards.com), facebook page (http://facebook.com/alsowards) or
through twitter (@ALSowards). Espionage is available for purchase
in most LDS bookstores and on Amazon.
You can learn more about Karey White via her blog (kareywhite.blogspot.com). You can read my interview with Karey as well as a review of Gifted here. And don't miss out on her much anticipated new release (Dec 2012) For What It's Worth!

This blog hop includes a few questions to help you learn more
about an author’s current work in progress, so here’s a little info about my
current project:
1: What is the working title of your book? All the Finer Things
2: Where did the idea come from for the book? The entire story-line unfolded to me one night in a dream. I saw the characters,
3: What genre does your book fall under? Fictional Suspense (with maybe a touch of Romance!)
4: Which actors would you choose to play your characters in
a movie rendition? Ooh, tough call. I'm gonna have to go with Trevor Donovan as the rugged Ammon Carter, Bradley Cooper in the dark role of steely-eyed Dr. Matthew Hamilton, and maybe Amber Heard for my heroine, Megan.
5: What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book? Megan Hamilton, the young trophy wife of a highly desired, irresistibly handsome, smooth talking, wealthy plastic surgeon, has the perfect life.... or, does she?
6: Will your book be self-published or represented by an
agency? Undecided.... leaning towards self-pub.
7: How long did it take you to write the first draft of your
manuscript? I'm a slow writer: about 9 months.
8: What other books would you compare this story to within
your genre? Off the top of my head I can't think of any books that deal with the realities of domestic abuse quite as realistically as All the Finer Things. - Movies wise, however, think Sleeping With the Enemy.
9: Who or What inspired you to write this book? Unfortunately domestic violence is far too rampant today. There are many women in my life whose personal stories inspired All the Finer Things. I think the biggest thing that inspired me was the desire for women/young girls to know that they deserve to be treated with respect and that there is not a man on the planet worth sacrificing your self worth and safety for.
Here is a list of authors who will be joining the hop. I hope you’ll visit their blogs and learn more about their books. Maybe one of them will become your new
favorite author!
